Tenali Rama – The Wise Smile

In the kingdom of King Krishnadevaraya, there lived a clever man named Tenali Rama.

One day, the king asked,
“Who is the smartest person in my court?”

Everyone started praising themselves.

Tenali Rama quietly smiled.

The king then said,
“Tomorrow, bring something that fills the entire room.”

Next day, people brought pillows, hay, and boxes… trying to fill the space.

But the room still had empty corners.

Then came Tenali Rama.

He lit a small lamp.

The light spread everywhere… filling the entire room.

The king smiled,
“True wisdom is simple…”

“Intelligence is not loud… it is thoughtful…”
